Soiree at Raffles Hotel Arcade: art galleries, lifestyle boutique and antique shop are welcoming friends

Singapore Art business is contributing its part in kicking off new year with galleries opening new exhibitions and introducing artists to the public. At the eve of 17th January three art galleries Nikei, ChanHampe and Artesan, luxury lifestyle boutique Lotus de Vivre and antique shop Elliott's opened their doors for friends hosting Soirée event at Raffles Hotel Arcade courtyard with live music by Nikko, warm atmosphere, good food by Austrian chef Karl and his lovely partner and all time assistant Eugenia from Table at 7.

Hosting Soiree together art businesses not only introduced their friends to each others collections, but also set up community of art connoisseurs. Guests could socialize and network at the courtyard over a glass of wine, enjoying live music and exchanging opinions about new collections featured that evening.
Nikei Fine Art officially opened first part of 'In Symphony, Graceful World of Sumi' exhibition, featuring work of Japanese Toko Shinoda, Kukoku Tanura, Kyoko Takane, Chinese Zhou Hao,and Singaporean Terence Teo. As a special surprise from Nikei, Kyoko Takane and Terence Teo came down to chat with the guests and tell about their works. First part of exhibition is up for viewing from 10th January to 8th February. Second part of the 'Symphony' will be launched on the 15th of February and featured until 25th of March showing works by Kukoku Tamura, Kimiko Yoshimi, Kyoko Takane from Japan and Yi Bo from China. 'In Symphony' is exhibition of ink wash paintings, where Chinese ink, that was adopted by Japanese in seventh century, is used to create art, and devoted to world-known Toko Shinoda, who is turning 100 on the March 28th. 
ChanHampe Callery was opening 'Crisis of Monumentality: Made/Remade/Unmade' exhibition of works by Boo Sze Yang, Tang Ling Nah and Tay Bak Chiang, that will run until 17th February.
