Singapore is preparing to celebrate Chinese New Year not only with shopping sales and city decorations, beauty products launches, but also with number of festivals and expositions. Raffles City Shopping mall became hosting platforms for Rugao Puppet Show, brought by Jiangsu troupe from China to Merlion City.
Starting from 9th to 19th January, level 3 of the mall is hosting venue for 'Spring in the City' festival, that features arts pieces from Chinese artists - from calligraphy to prints. Artists are at the venue to draw unique works upon clients request. The stage is taken by Rugao troupe, that holds performances - Chinese traditional dances and songs, puppet scenes and tea ceremony shows. Half hour performances can be seen for free from Tuesday to Friday - 1pm, 7pm, Weekends - 1pm, 4pm and 7pm.
